I remember hearing way back when that The Who’s Next album would be one of the first full albums to be released after the Rock Band launch. Well, here we are 7 months after the sucker’s out and still no dice for The Who.
Along comes someone from The Who’s fan club (who paid $50 for a t-shirt… and maybe some tickets) that Pete Townshend said a lot of the master recordings have been lost from the last half of Next, meaning The Who’s album won’t ever be released in full. If it does, it’ll be a cover band with a prefix of “as made famous by”.
I feel robbed.
